The Story:

Blessed with the virtue of the light goddess, Megumi’s powers awaken. Unbeknownst to her, the trial of light has begun.

Her village gets ransacked. In an attempt to save everyone, she loses her mentor to the invaders, which forces her powers to the forefront, accidentally turning the villagers to stone and crumbling them to dust.

The story:

A grungy teen picked as the chosen one must travel to the imperial city to relinquish his mana and become a vessel for the phoenix, ruler of the nine kingdoms. What happens when he realizes it’s all a front to force him to use his powers to grow the city’s Metallica army and overthrow the remaining cities?

He accepts the power to harness the phoenix, expelling his remaining mana from his body. He begins his rebellion to free the remaining kingdoms from the capital city’s oppression.
